Total Recall The Musical

In 2003, composer siblings John and Alan Kaplan got bored, got inspired and got busy writing spoof songs for ‘Silence’, a musical based on face feasting classic ‘Silence of the Lambs’. Interest in the project quickly snowballed and it finally made it to the stage in 2005. Featuring songs like ‘Put the fucking lotion in the basket’, ‘Silence’ was a hit with movie fans. Anyway, them Kaplan boys are back at it once more, this time posting up a piece based on classic Schwarzenegger sci-fi mind bender ‘Total Recall’. ‘Moons of Mars’ is a Douglas Quaid’s ballad that finds our hero longing to escape his mundane 2084 AD home life for the red planet, to trace the mysterious woman haunting his dreams of Mars, where the Rebellion is in the throes of a raging war against mining overlord Cohaagan.

There’s just the one video out on the wire at the moment, but let’s hope for a swooning ‘If I’m not me, then who the hell am I?’, a bombastic ‘Kuato Lives’ or a ‘Get Your Ass to Mars’ foot-tapper!
