Rolling Stones: Plunder My Soul

Photobucket
Those with things to do may not have heard that The Stones are rereleasing their classic 1972 double album ‘Exile on Main Street’  next month, bolstered by a whole sack full of extras like bonus tracks, a DVD of the infamous ‘Cocksucker Blues’ flick, and 4 songs that Joe Schmoe has yet to surrender his ossicles to. Scratch that, it’s THREE songs, as ‘Plunder My Soul’ was released as a limited edition 7” on Record Store Day.
Well it sure as hell doesn’t take long for these babies to hit the info-highway. Check out ‘Plunder My Soul’ below.

The Rolling Stones Exhibition @ Scream London

Photobucket
From the 13th of May until the 3rd of July, the Scream London gallery will be hosting an exhibition of photos of The Rolling Stones from 1971, as legendary photographers David Montgomery, Roberto Rabanne and Bob Gruen independently caught the band during the recording of their ‘Sticky Fingers’ album.
Entitled ‘The Rolling Stones: Against The Wall’, the exhibition promises to deliver a behind the scenes portrait of the band as they broke through the swinging 60’s into the unknown and tumultuous 70’s. More details can be found at www.screamlondon.com
The above photo is not part of the exhibition, but is from the frankly FANTASTIC Diet Coke and Sympathy blog, which is dedicated to Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg, but also has some of the best rare pictures of The Stones and their like. Head over and check it out and let the lovely Leith know that you appreciate her labour of love!
